Frequently Asked Questions
What is Overlooked Homes?
Overlooked Homes is a curated property discovery service for people looking for something beyond the usual listings.
We search for interesting, unusual and overlooked properties and bring our finds together in one place, saving you hours of searching across property portals, agents and individual websites.
We don’t try to list everything. We look for the interesting stuff.
What types of properties can I find here?
Our finds can include fixer-uppers, renovation projects, bargain homes, distressed properties, repossessed properties, former government buildings, rural properties, farmhouses, historic homes, castles and other unusual properties with potential.
Some may appeal to renovators and property flippers. Others might suit buyers looking for an affordable home, restoration project, country escape or simply something a little different.
What we find changes constantly â that’s part of the fun.
How does Overlooked Homes save me time?
Interesting properties can be scattered across thousands of agents, property portals and individual listings.
Instead of spending hours searching through ordinary properties, we do the hunting and bring interesting finds together in one place.
Members can then follow the original source listing and available agent or seller information to investigate a property further.
Where do you find the properties?
We search publicly available property listings, real estate portals, agents, brokers and other property sources.
Overlooked Homes doesn’t replace the original listing. Where available, members are given a link to the original source so they can check the current information and contact the relevant agent or seller directly.
Do you sell these properties?
No.
Overlooked Homes does not own or sell the properties we feature. We are an independent property discovery and information service.
We are not a real estate agent, real estate broker, buyer’s agent, mortgage broker, lender or financial adviser, and we don’t negotiate property transactions on behalf of buyers or sellers.
Any purchase enquiries should be made directly with the property’s agent, broker or seller.
What do I get with membership?
Membership gives you access to the full information we have collected for our property finds, including the original source listing and available agent or seller details.
Instead of simply showing you an interesting property, we give you the information you need to go and investigate it yourself.
Can I find properties outside the United States?
Yes.
Overlooked Homes searches internationally. Our finds can include properties in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Portugal and other markets as we discover worthwhile opportunities.
Our inventory will vary because we’re selective about what we add.
How often are new properties added?
We’re continually looking for new finds and add properties as we discover ones worth sharing.
We’d rather add an interesting property than fill the site with thousands of ordinary listings just to make the numbers look bigger.
What if a property has already sold?
Property listings can change quickly. A property may be sold, withdrawn, placed under offer or have its price or availability changed after we discover it.
Always check the original source listing and confirm the property’s current status, price and details with the agent or seller before making any decisions.
Does Overlooked Homes provide investment or financial advice?
No.
Information on Overlooked Homes is provided for general informational and property-discovery purposes only. Nothing on the site should be considered financial, investment, legal, tax or property advice.
Buyers should carry out their own due diligence and obtain appropriate professional advice before entering into a property transaction.
How do I cancel my membership?
